Competitor Bulletin #2009-14
To: Crew Chiefs and Technical Staff
Date: August 24, 2009
Effective Date: September 4, 2009
Subject: Technical Meeting
This meeting should be attended only by crew chiefs and technicians that have decision making
roles within their team structure. No rules will be determined at this meeting. It is for data
gathering purposes only.
The AMA Pro Road Racing Technical Department will hold an informal meeting at New Jersey
Motorsports Park on Friday, September 4th at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Officers Club.
Please enter the side marked “AMA Pro Meetings”.
This meeting will be very informal. The intent of this meeting is to allow competitors the opportunity to
share thoughts and ideas on how our road race technical operation can be improved and streamlined as
we prepare for next year.
We would like to hear opinions on the current rules package (i.e. if there are rules that do not need to be
in place or rules that should be in place).
We would also like to hear if there are ways we can streamline the technical process from the start of the
race weekend through final technical inspection.
This is not the venue to discuss procedural and operational issues. We would like to confine it to technical
issues and the technical procedures we are using.
