Why no Clubmans on the '10 CR's? What's the story?

The clubmans are now the optional because more people wanted to swap them out for the high bars.

I don't get it,its a Cafe Racer, not a Street Fighter, but what ever. I like my clubmans, or clip ons in general.

Makes sense to me. They went with Clubmans and there isn't much of a market. Throwing high bars on puts it with FZ1, Streetfighter, Speed Triple, Tuono, etc. I think the high bars are a nice contrast to the riding position of the R. If you want the clubmans, they are still available from the parts bins...plus plenty of 09 guys probably have them lying around.

The position on the CR with the clubmans was very similar to the riding position on the R. The problem was that you didn't have the benefit of the fairing.

The high bars are just better on the CR.

Problem??? The forward riding position lets you lean into the wind better. I put clubmans on asportster I had and liked them so much better than the stock bars because I didn't feel like I was hanging on for dear life at highway speeds.

BUT - I'm not surprised the high bars have been more popular. For me, the clubmans stay.

I was just pondering that zipper, wondering whether it was possibly for easy access.

My 09 CR came with the upright bars, they are absolutely horrible, I spent half my time riding with my head in-between the mirrors. I will swap on the clubmans over the winter.

I have the high bars, and don't mind them at all. Granted, I've never ridden a bike with the clubmans, but the high bars are fine. Really makes it feel more like a Speed Triple or a Tuono.
