It's going on three weeks that my bike has been in the shop waiting for the parts to fix the clutch weep. The Dealer told me that they ordered the parts on 08/07 and they still don't have them. Apparently, they are waiting for an o-ring.

Is there a shortage of parts to fix this problem?

My dealer got mine done in 10 days while I was on vacation, picked it up this past Monday, I dropped it off on 8/6 iirc. Maybe I got the last o-ring. Sorry if I did.

O-ring is the old fix. The new piston/sleeve is the new fix. Apparently, the new piston/sleeve can be fitted to the Rev.A clutch cover. I had the fix done today, although I don't have the bike back yet and can't say how happy I am with the result.

Hmm, I wonder if that's why they can't get the o-ring.

Please . . . I'm trying.

Try . . if you are up for some "entertainment" to guess. . .

  • The number of Buell related e-mails I got yesterday?
  • How many were from Harley-Davidson at Juneau?
  • How many were from Buell at East Troy?
  • The number of countries? (HINT: The first one at 5:21AM yesterday was from New Zealand)

I swear . . . I'm buying boat and retiring.

Mine needs an o-ring as well. I think they just ordered it yesterday though, so I can't say there is an issue.

I also asked them to replace the gauge cluster since there is condensation inside it, but they said there isn't enough.

Has anyone ever got their swingarm replaced for getting stained by gas from the overflow vent tube? Mine looks terrible.

I picked my bike up yesterday, they put the new design stuff in. It was a new cylinder, with a new lip-seal design, they didn't replace the cover, it uses the old one.

They only had the bike a few days, but they ordered the parts about 2 weeks ago.

Don't do that! Who would do da Jazz Handz for us then? You have to train a replacement first!

No offense, but I won't believe that until we see hi-res pics of said boat and you stop posting except when you pull into port every few weeks.

Is there a specific issue that qualifies for a replacement? I only have traces of clutch weep on mine, and its hard to tell if any fluid is missing.

I know nothing about it (as someone will quickly leap in here and point out I, by virtue of not owning and 1125R, am patently unqualified to discuss the bike) and am just wanting, at this time, to find folks who have ORDERED AND NOT RECEIVED PARTS.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

My puck's weep hole is at the top - RevB cover.
I pop it off and drain it every couple of weeks.
No weepage on the cases.

Sounds like the fix is ready to go and I'll get Service to take care of it soon.

More pressing is getting a new lower leg since my brake line ate into it. (brake line is OK tho...)

The Dealer called and informed me that the part has arrived and I'll get my bike back tomorrow. Now that's fast!

I can't thank Court enough! This guy is top notch.........and I really enjoyed his book as well.

Eaton, a leak is a leak, it's not gonna fix itself. If you can see it's leaking, they'll fix it.

Western reserve. They did the front brake thing too, but I need to call tomorrow about taking it back Monday. I think the front brake needs re-bled.

My dealer called customer service and got the parts within a week. They did the service yesterday and I have the bike back today. The clutch cover is still Rev A, but I would imagine it is correct since John from customer service is who both myself and the service manager dealt directly with.
