Frank:

Where did you have your spare tank? Getting 300 miles to a Uly tank is unheard of unless you are coasting a lot. Most Uly's can run 160-200 before going dry. We were in western KS and our Uly rider went 189 and he coasted into the gas station. Us ST riders were getting ready to loan him a quart when we found a "pay to pump" pump in a closed gas station.

I don't know if it would make it to 300, but about 240 miles is about when the gas light could come on, the furthest I have got on the gas light was about 37 miles, and it still had some left when I filled it up. : )

Oh, no aux tank : )

Close to two days ;+} I ran 165 miles on my tank today and put in 4.06 gals. I had an easy 40 miles left but, I don't like to stretch it too far. A week ago I ran the fuel light for 35 miles and still had a few ounces left! I did sweat the last 5 miles LOL!

I consistently got 50+mpg on my Ulysses and could see 60+ on the highway.

I thought that was good but the capacity would not carry me that far?

60mpg x 4 gallons is 240 miles, then you still got a little more for reserve. At my recorded best, 64.83mpg x 4 gallons is 259.39 miles, with some more to go. It would be bone dry around 282 miles. I just wish I was logging on this when I got 75mpg, that rocked.

Make an account on their website, click on the Garage button and it lets you add vehicles. I got one for all 3 of my bikes and the car that gets occasional use.

They even have smaller ones designed for signatures

Frank:

Pretty cool site 4 sure. I like the term Hypermiler and the concept behind it. Too bad the 1125 doesn't like to coast in neutral or with the clutch in. I do shift into 6th doing 55 or 60 and get 50mph+.

I'm surprised no one has flipped their cap over w/o the key and rested it on the top triple tree. The key hole cover makes a nice little stop to keep it from sliding off. I used to do that b4 I found this little perch on the RAM mount.

I would just like to get rid of needing the key for the gas cap. Funny my truck that holds 30 gallons doesn't have a key, but my bike has one.. Don't see the point. If somebody wants to steal gas why would they hit up a bike?

I am more concerned about someone putting crap in my tank as opposed to stealing the gas out of it. I am glad it has a lock. I wish my F-150 did as well.

You can buy a keyless cap from Grandstand Designs should you so desire. I have never had any issues with the lock, my Blast doesn't have one, I don't care either way.

If I went with a keyless one then I would be in REAL trouble since I could not hang it any more ;+{

Trojan also offers a keyless cap that is a little different than Grandstand Design's.
Both are very nice caps.

+1 for the keyless cap from GSD. Best mod I've made to my track bike.
