I'm taking my kids to the Milwaukee Zoo in a few days and it just so happens that a slightly modified route will take me through East Troy. That said, I just wanted to see if any of you have been to the HQ and ask if it's worth stopping by. Do they offer any sort of tour, or have a museum, gift shop, etc.?

You are in for a treat. Yes, they offer tours of the assembly line. I cannot describe the feeling the first time I went.

The GF was not happy about me buying another Buell until she saw the factory.

She had a lot of fun and I was just floored by the dedication of the employees and how interested they were in what I rode.

Make sure and get a T-shirt or two at the Company Store at the Factory too.

Very cool place.

I believe the gift shop is only open one day a week.

Tours are by reservation - but are WELL WORTH IT!

Seriously, call to ask about the tours and gift shop hours.

Looks like the factory tour is a no go. I just looked online and found out that kids 12 and under arn't allowed if the line is moving. I guess my four month old will have to wait 12 years to see the plant. Bummer!

I'm gonna call about the factory store tomorrow.

Thursday for the factory store.

Let me know if you need someone to babysit the 4 month old while you do the tour.

Be sure to call ahead to make sure there will be tours on the day you are there.

Call 262-642-2020 and ask for Donna.

Semper Fi,
Court

P.S. - that Thursday is from memory . . be sure to ask.

Semper, if I was you, I'd take Court up on the babysitting offer and take the tour. I've seen the place many times and it's still fun every time I visit it.

What part of the Chicago area are you from?

Thanks for the number; I just got off the phone with her. As it turns out, the company store is only open on Wednesday from 8:30 to 12:30... a day late and dollar short.
