Having that huge chunk of iron held so low makes the bike EASILY detected by those magnetic induction loop sensors that trip the traffic lights around here. I get stuck more often on my K1200LT because there is so little steel on that thing.

I noticed that too. On both my Micron equipped XB and my stock CR lights are no problem, but my Blast gets ignored.

You KNOW the lights aren't triggered by weight or I'd never have a problem with the K1200LT.

I've heard of those, but the one guy in my club who tried it said it was a waste of money for him.

heres a trick. if your town has traffic cameras at red lights all you need to do is put a strobe on the front of your bike with a kill switch so u can turn it on and off. when you approach a red light turn the strobe on for a sec or two and the camera will think your an emergency vehicle and change your light green makin everyone elses red. obviously this is illegal so dont let the cops see you they tend to get a lil upset, lol. all u need is a strobe led bulb it doesn't have to be a full strobe light, one bulb in the windscreen should do it

There was an article I read a few years ago about a guy that had an illegal transponder in his car that apparently transmitted "emergency vehicle" to the receivers installed in his community's controlled intersections.

Someone got suspicious because they NEVER saw him get caught at a red light and a little investigation got him bagged.

Can't remember where this happened, though. It wasn't a strobe light, though.

All depends on the area, some use infrared light, just like your TV remote.
