FYI/FWIW,

You cannot "read" plugs like this thread has displayed.

"Tuning" cannot be "read" unless you shut off @ wide open throttle or @ a certain and constant load point to secure a TRUE sample.

You cannot "read" samples with any credibility when using unleaded fuels on a f**k'in street engine!???????

Where on this planet are YOU ALL HEREIN, GETTING "this" TUNING INFORMATION?

You cannot "read" a plug based on 1k miles without proper data...let alone a street guy on street fuel that constantly changes.

"Rich" is all that can be seen by the pics posted...

...yea and this is rocket science...

...NO WONDER,

Buell and others make posts on BadWeb as Annoy.

"You cannot "read" plugs like this thread has displayed."

Where are you getting this from Sly? I posted the pictures of my plugs only to show the amount of wear after 12,000 miles. Not to show Lean or Rich.

Yes some one speculated that my plugs looked rich but I dont see where it is stated that tuning was done by reviewing plugs in this thread.

The lack of information relevant to a PM.

You've been questioned and/or had posts of the condition of plugs view.

An engineer usually answers with all the details.

You cannot rely on everyone reading your profile page to read into what might not be factual.

You bit on it.

There was no mention that this bike was anything other than stock.

This is NOT the condition of a stock tune.

MOST 08 stockers are done with plugs within 9k miles, literally DONE! LOL! Trust me, I've replaced them.

No big deal, you only have the entire world reading...

Post all data relevant or assume the position and deal with it.

"Anonymous" is Annoy - ing to me sometimes for this simple fact.

How can anything related to this thread be relevant to another boner out there, except for the procedures within the valve check...

Post ALL data or stay in the shop/off internet, IMO...there won't be anyone questioning anything then. mm

I don't mind getting questioned as long as its a valid question. You however made assumptions that tuning is being made from reading plugs and was asking where on this planet we were all getting this information from. You got me I have no idea.

But you have fun picking apart threads that are posted in the non technical section (knowledge vault).

Xbswede,,,does your state require ethanol in your pumped gas?
Also, have you been running a consistant "brand" of oil all these miles?

Just wanted to know for future reference, no big deal.

Metalrabbit- 10% is required but may change for premium blends. I only run Premium. (your profile show you live in my state??)

For oil I ran Sync 3 for the first 8000 miles and then switched to Redline. I change oil every 3000 miles (except during my break-in, changed 3 times during first 2000 miles)

I ran the Bt016's . I really liked them but the front wears fast compared to the corsa 3. The rear is on par though. This is of course with my riding style. Mileage will vary.

You should check out the storm front section under PBR. Local Portland guys.

oops thread drift...
