There's a nice, very positive review of the 1125CR by Sam Machlachlan in the latest issue of Australian Motorcyle News (AMCN). There's been a few one page reviews of the CR here, but this is the first full road test I've seen in one of the major local magazines. He was particularly impressed by the engine and brakes, and that it's not detuned from the 1125R. "After two weeks, which took in rain, commuting, scratching and just a lot of standing around discussing it with various curious onlookers, I decided I like the CR. If you're the cardigan wearer, don't bother - you won't understand the Buell. But if you like something different that actually works, it's a good bit of kit." | ||

Cheers for the headsup. If it's the current issue I'll grab one tonight. Actually all the 1125R/CR reviews I've seen in local rags have been positive. Not sure what that says about the Australian publications in comparison to their overseas counterparts... | ||

Pretty much all the write ups i've seen of the CR have been positive, some very much so. The original '08 1125R got a mixed response though. I'd like to test ride an '09 model R or CR to see how different it feels to the '08 I rode. First page:  | ||

Don't be saying things like that, it sounds so much more appealling than trying to sort out house renovations right now! *If* we make it to Homecoming next year, the plan is to head to New York, hire a Uly and ride. I'm sure we could find time for some geetar pickin'  Besides being incredibly loud, how does the R sound with the D&D? | ||

booming,literally shakes houses, and trips car alarms at will. On an odd note, I've never actually HEARD the pipe, other than while riding, or revving while parked.I've had a lot of compliments, but never heard a "drive by" with mine, or any other D&D so I can't truly comment. its deff'natly NOT Harley-ish or deep, and I've read that some other pipes sound much better. You'll hafta make the hour and a half ride up from NYC and gimee a drive by at full song... AND listen to my incessant A-minor/E-minor pentatonic/Blues Scale,eyes closed,drum machine looped,I'm the only one into,neighborhood hating,wife annoying,far too long,somebody stop him, long solos,tho...  | ||

Yea hits nice to see some good reviews. Bott I had a guy for the very first time this last Saturday get off his GSXR1000 and come over to me and yell. That's is way to freaking loud and then turn around and walk back to his bike. Lemonchilli - same here never heard a drive by in person. Always on my bikes since I do not loan out. | ||

Only pipe I've heard so far is a Remus, and though not overly loud, definitely not XB deep in tone. Actually it sounded like nothing else I've ever heard before. |
