Summit Racing is one good source. The guys in the XB forum that have done it say the trick is to wet it thoroughly first (as in have a bucket of water next to the bike and immerse the wrap in it before wrapping the headers). Wrap the headers as tightly as possible and clamp properly at both ends. Let dry, ride for a couple of days, and then apply the coating they sell for protecting the wrap. The coating makes the wrap hold up to weather much better.

Search the XB forum; there are several threads.

I did my bolt in orange. It's recommended not to wet the colored wrap. If you choose to go the colored route I recommend taking the headers off. It can create a mess that is hard to get off. I'll get some pics and post.

You can see where some of the orange hit the motor...that"s why you should take them off.

Cheetos dust is much easier to get off. I can't get that crap clean!

Not a big thing guys but the wrap smokes quite a bit the first couple of times the engine is run for any length of time. I "cured" mine in the garage a couple of times for about 15 minutes with a large fan for cooling and to blow away the smoke before riding to help eliminate any "your bike is smoking" comments. I used the waterless black color. Made quite a bit of difference with heat under my full fairing. Just FYI, Bob

Header all the way back to can, including under the heat shield. The headers I wrapped on the bike, a serious headache but better than taking them off. The mid pipe I did before installing.

And like they said use the silicone spray to keep them from fraying as easy and protect against water.

When I wrapped the drag pipes on my panhead i just used a spray bottle to wet the wrap as I went along. I think its a little easier to handle than trying to dip it.
