Ducdood9:

This is a Blake-oriented site. This is not a democracy or a platform for somebody to come in here and try to bash the brand, thinking it will do some good.

I mean, really, do you think you "telling us how it is" is productive? How old are you, exactly?

How many people have the clutch weeping problem? Because I don't. And Buell's released a fix for it. Check the threads and you can find the part number for the kit.

The electronics on my bike are fine. I have the third update. You are suggesting that all '08 1125Rs have bad electronics. Nein. How many? Get your stats out, son!

When people post here, they have problems, true. But they are not necessarily representative of the majority. You seem reasonably intelligent, so I'm surprised this fact seems lost on you.

Gruene Harley Davidson/Buell ordered me a new spring today, no problem at all. I went ahead and had them order me a second one for 8 bucks to keep in my toolkit as a spare.

I know that there has been some mention in this thread of an updated spring, but they looked it up and found nothing updated for my '09 CR.

This is such a minor, stupid part that I am shocked it's not better engineered because of the potentially serious consequences of a kickstand dragging (or digging in) at inopportune times. I'm probably going to be paranoid anytime I ride through left hand turns!

For what it's worth, I've had the spring break on track days and I continued to haul ass around the track with no issue... the stand just drags.

Spooky, oh hell yes, but really dangerous? Well, it hasn't been so far.

Again, I think it's one of those things you just don't worry about and instead spend your mental energy on beating the ever loving crap out of the bike because that's what it really wants. Just wail on it.

Any time spent not absolutely shagging tires on this thing is life lost. Either drag your pegs, be at WOT, or both.

Hey Jdugger - I hear ya about it folding up at speed (the wind actually picked it up quite nicely above about 65mph), but what I noticed when I got back into town and was trying to negotiated left handed, right angle corners after braking was that the kickstand would go all the way forward (i.e. beyond 90 degrees from the upright position) if I didn't have my foot covering it. It definitely seemed like it could catch and dig if you weren't careful.

Oh, and I completely understand the corners vs straights argument - I own an FZR400 as well and it will lean and lean and lean until your ears bleed - or until you are scraping the fairings! The 1125 is almost as good on corners here in the Texas Hill Country . . .

Cant complain about the dealership experience. Called them up and told them my spring fell off, so they ordered me one over the phone. Got to the dealership to have it put on and came to find out the bracket and screw that holds the spring on is gone also. They didnt have the other part in stock so they took a brand new one off the floor model. Even gave me a new Kick stand cause the other one was a little scratched. A++ They even flashed it for me with the latest 05z flash. All this and no appointment.

Calumet Harley Davidson Buell took good care of me

So mine just flew off this weekend... Just got off the phone with the dealer, says they have no idea about a product program. Anyone have numbers I can throw at them. They want me to take it up to them before they will do a thing, and thats kind of a pain... (understandable but taking a day off would just plain suck)
