Ok, don't have the bike yet.

Just want to read the shop manual while I'm saving up for the darn thing.

Problem is, I don't know if I'm going to wind up with an 08 or an 09.
It depends on what's available.

Is there much of a difference between the 08 and 09 1125r manuals?

(is there even an 09 manual?)
(or is it just an 08 with 09 addendums?)

sure wish I could buy an electronic version.
thanx

Don't start the electronic version debate again. As far as I know they are the same book. Not much changed from 08 to 09 just a few small things.

+1. They only have one manual at the shop I frequent.

There are quite a few changes.

There is not (Buell has done an electronic manual only 1 year . . . up to this point) and electronic version.

I've always done the same thing . . . bought the manuals and read them cover to cover before buying a bike. Used to do the same thing before I flew a new airplane.

There are actually THREE manuals. Service, Parts and Electronic Diagnostics.

2009 manuals were out before the public release of the bike.

I have every manual Buell has ever done if you have any questions.

Thanks Court.

I was curious mostly about the hardware specs so I could perform my own service, (procedures, torque settings etc).

Anything requiring the Digital Technician I'll leave to the dealer.

Guess I'll have to get all the manuals at some point.

No worries about an electronic version, I'll just convert it myself.

With a digital reader, it's so nice to be able to follow a procedure without the pages closing, or getting covered in grease.
(no greasy manuals allowed in the house!)

Dave

No problem. If you need to compare an '08 and an '09 manual before buying I'd be happy to send them to you to look at.

I'd prefer you not copy them but realize I can't control that.

The first bike I bought was a Harley-Davidson Sportster. Months before, while longing for the bike, I bought the manual . . read it cover to cover. . . marked all the errors, technical, spelling, grammar and labeling (you'll find some doozies in the 1125 manual) and sent the list to HD.

They've been mad at me for the next 24 years.

I've got an '08 1125r manual for sale - $35 + actual shipping takes it.
