well after 1900 miles in 9 months this bike has to go. i will be going to my dealer in the morning to have a meeting wwith the sales manager to see what they can do for me. i love my bike but its been problems since day one now its overheating and the water pump housing is leaking. i never rode further than my dealership and that was always for problems i tried a 200 mile ride and it ended in disaster. i know there are good 1125rs out there but mine is a lemon. i will be going back to with either a cruiser harley or a inline import bike. the desire for a buell ever since i was a little kid has been put to rest for me

sorry guys i always loved my bike when it did run right. no hard feelings but enough is enuf

That is terrible news. I have had my 1125R for 9000 miles and a X1 for years before it. Never had any problems with either bike that did not involve another car hitting me. I love the Buell brand. See if you can not change for a Cr or another R. I hope this works out for the best for you. Keep riding and keep smiling.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Maybe try a swap for another 1125?

Seems that you would have some argument for a good will swap.

Try calling (on an actual phone) and get eric on the line and work out a swap, ps... the white ones are faster and have less problems. Good luck.

Man, lemons suck no matter what brand they are. If you are looking at a cruiser\Harley, you might want to look at an XB instead. Not a knock against the 1125, but the XB line are proven bikes. But if you can work a swap with another 1125, that would be a golden deal. Sounds like you just got a lemon. It happens.

How has Buell Customer Service been to work with? I am very sorry to hear about your problems but, for whatever comfort it may be, pleased to tell you that Buell has been doing a great job of addressing these quickly.

I've pretty much "retired" from interceding but can assure you that the folks at Buell Customer Service (the appropriate folks to call) are good at this and have a wealth of technical resources.

I've personally been part of replacing two bikes in the last year . . . shit happens. The folks at Buell buy, own and ride motorcycles . . they know that. The good part about Buell is that it can be done quickly and relatively painlessly whereas other manufacturers will take 2 years.

Call Buell Customer Service and ask for Jon.

Court, sorry to hear you're "retired" from interceding. It's the first I heard of it.

I thought it was great to have someone who could get right to the bottom of the problem and direct it to the right sources and get it corrected.

Maybe you mean retired, like some of the well known sports figures who "retired",and then come back.

Either way, I always enjoyed reading your posts, even if I didn't always agree(which was rare)with you.

Thank you for all the valuable information and help. Thankfully, I haven't needed any help directly, as of yet.
Please pardon the hijack of this thread.

No problem. My reason for posting is not get get folks to agree with me.

Mr. Tonedeath's problem would be easy to resolve.

I hope he contacts Buell Customer Service.

If I had a poor dealer (I've always had great ones) I'd not place my fate in their hands.

Buell Customer Service is the proper, appropriate and most effective route toward resolution.
