So I just moved to Ga from Cali and boy is it humid here. I was just checking to see if anyone rides in my area (Savannah/Ft Stewart)?

Yeah, the SE can get pretty steamy. I remember walking outside for a morning smoke at 6 AM in the later months of summer, when you feel like you're blasted with heat and your clothes instantly start to stick to you.

Ug, I was in Augusta, GA at FT Gordon for a time. Same as with FT Stewart, flat flat flat and humid. Though, with how the weather has been here lately in CO, I miss the hot and humid. Least you could ride. Though, just a piece of advice, take a ride up to N. GA. Roads up there ROCK!!!

Yeah I miss CO, that's where I picked this bike up when I was stationed at Ft Carson. I haven't spotted a Buell here yet, but there are lots of randoms riding around giving riders like myself a bad rep.

I'm over in Newnan, south of Atlanta. From now until September you can pretty much count on too much heat and humidity. I like to try and sneak out either late at night or real early and get up in the mountains where it's a tad bit cooler. Like Cataract2 said, N. GA roads has some great roads, as well as western North Carolina and Tennessee. Welcome to the south!

Well, one other thing that is good. Find some good local places, food is good. Also, take a trip to Savanna, GA. Great place to visit and check out the old town.

Check out the thread in the Stormfronts section. Probably the closest group.
Sorry, Wasn't thinking geographically correct. There is a group in your area, check out the Low Country thread.

I wouldnt give a bean to be a fancy pants marine. I would rather be a dog faced soldier like I am!
