Looks like Grand Stand Designs is selling Ecm Spy for the 1125R now, stock looks like $218 and Race $268.

Anyone have more information?

I do. Your statement is inaccurate. They are selling performance engine mapping. The user implements the mapping using the freeware ECMspy program. They absolutely are NOT "selling ECMspy", which as already stated is a freeware computer program.

When the site says " ECMspy Tuning for Buell 1125
Fits 2008-present Buell 1125 models
$218.99 "
AND
"These sheets are for the finalAlso included are data spreadsheets. These spreadsheets are required by some Buell ECMs that encrypt data. These sheets allow the current ecm to be reprogrammed with Ecmspy."

Seems that the sheets are going to be worthless, because you cannot get ECMspy anymore.

I am confused. I thought ECMspy was/is a free tuning tool? I bet Gunter is "happy".

Must be the maps they are selling using ECMspy as an upload tool

From what I have heard, those behind ECMspy decided not to develop it further for models 08 and later. Some others are picking up the slack, and charging a bit. Big deal. The people who make the cables that allow ecmspy to be hooked up charge for those, is that also wrong?

Sorry I didn't see this threat until just now.

Blake is 100% correct here. ECMSpy is a software program that was commonly available for free to anyone via their website.

GSD does NOT sell ECMspy. Never have and never will. While I have never met the software's creators, I believe it was their intention to provide it for free to all Buell owners.

We offer tuning services and fuel maps that we have spent countless hours developing both on the street and on the race track. It is our time and our service that we charge for.

Thanks, Pete

Pete

You seem to be in the know. What is supplied when we purchase tuning from GSD? The site wasn't very specific. but it does say "ECMspy Tuning for Buell 1125"

Thanks

Hey Eric,

When you purchase tuning from GSD you get our time and our base maps. The long and short of it is, we use an internet based remote desktop like software program that allows us to be virtually in front of your bike. The customer is actually in front of the bike and on the phone with us while we are working so that the bike can be turned on and off and taken out for the required rides. It may sound complicated, but it is not. Total tuning time is about 4-5 hours and is usually broken up into 3-4 sessions.

Any other questions, feel free to call. 732.722.2955.

Thanks, Pete
