Well after a battle with customer service they plan just to fix the motor parts that are damaged and readjust my valves /clean the case.Im still seeing if they will extend my warranty because of this unfortunate incident.I really didnt like the idea that my whole engine case was apart.Well see if this bike is still reliable after this crap. The tech already has it put together except the valvtrain.kudos to bill his is on it.As far as im concerned he deserves a meat tray for his extreme effort and punctual timeline for me to get this thing on the road and on my way to deals gap next saturday.woo whoo

Good to hear they're on top of it.

What dealer is doing the work?

I wouldn't worry about the fact that the cases have been apart...if they are properly sealed and torqued, it is as if they haven't been apart...it is the norm to have to split the cases to service the transmission...

Look at it like this, it will be as good as new, and you will have all new soft parts (seals and gaskets, etc) plus all the parts will have been inspected...the new parts may even be better than the original parts....and BMC gets some dead parts to check out for product improvement.

Lake Erie Harley? I thought you went to Western Reserve? Do you have A.D.D., or have you had too many beers?

I'm glad they finally got someone who doesn't castrate Buells in their shop with a dull meat cleaver.

I just recently purchased my first bike which is an 1125R. Love the looks and the way it handles. Less than 3000 miles I am running into problems. My check engine and battery light came on sunday. Took it into the shop on tuesday. The tech said my BRAND NEW BIKE didn't have a complete version of software installed from the factory! Picked up the bike thursday. On the way home it starts hesitating. Drove it Friday to work and on the way home my check engine and battery light came on! Took it to the dealer and they said the stater was bad! He says this causes the hesitation also. As of right now the bike I bought that was born on Jan 09 I am extremely unhappy with!

Please tell me they've tested the battery. Also, do you use a battery tender? If no, start. The batteries and charging systems are barely adiquate, and iirc, the battery isn't gettin charged until over 3 or 4k rpms or something.

Good advice Badlionsfan. I keep a battery tender on all of my bikes, sort of like "preventive maintenance".

the tech told me today that buell said this was the first case of the primary bolts snapping. Great I was the first unfortunate one to have this happen. Well the bike is together and he's wiring it back together today . Hopefully it's ready for deals gap Saturday .the tech said I should ask for a extended warranty for this fluke incident. He's also wanting more $$ for labor than what buell is offering because of the extended breakdown needed and cleaning. Buell said they will talk payment and warranty when bike is running . I kindof hope it has issues . I believe for a almost complete teardown the engine shouldof been replaced instead!!!
