I bought the Trojan Horse full fairing for my 1125r late last year and am finally getting around to posting pictures. I know the full fairing will have some lovers and haters but the final product exceeded my expectations.

Today at Jemez Mts

First off the product is high quality carbon fiber, worth the price. My only gripe is that no mounting hardware was included and the answer I got from Trojan was that I'd need to fashion my own brackets (they did suggest zues fastners though, which turned out well). I did not like switching the upper fairing for the Firebolt one (which is a bit narrow when coupled with the width of the full fairing). I took the bike to Liod's Rides (a custom bike/car shop here in Albuquerque; kudos to them) and told them what I wanted and how I wanted it to look.

Front quartering

You might be wondering about cost:
I waited for Trojan to lower their initial price and for the British Pound to bottom out in Nov so I paid roughly 680 USD for the fairing. Loid's used the upper carbon fiber and created the attachment points at the top of the scoops, fashioned the brackets, painted (matching the lettering and using the same blue from the frame), created a heat shield (pictured below) and installed the fairing for roughly 1800 bones. Yes also pricey, but I believe the outcome was worth it.

Heat Shield

The fairing comes off in 5 minutes and back on in 10. The downsides: since there is a space underneath the pipe and the fairing, if I elect to ride over a high speed bump at high speed, the bottom will scrap. Although I have not noticed higher AT and CT temps the airflow does funnel the air towards the right leg. The installation scraped up the original scoops so I bought a pair of new ones for when I ride the bike naked (the bike not me..57 dollars a piece for the scoops).
What I would do different if this was to be the kind of thing that is offered from Buell: put a vent hole in both sides of the fairing for cooling, provide brackets, move the fairing on the bottom closer to the muffler, and line the carbon fiber inside with heat tape material (Loid's used a whole roll on the inside of mine).

I just got back from an 8 day 3600 mile trip up the Cali coast, stopping in OR and then down thru Nevada, Utah and Colorado and had zero issues (no additional buffeting, no heat issues, no bottoming out, etc).

I truely enjoy the outcome, hope you guys do too (although I get it if you don't).

Other Side

Thanks for a great website, since I have 4 Buells, I often use the site for advice on my tubers and XB. I would have posted larger pictures but I could not figure out how to do that with the size limit...

I'm impressed. Personally, I *like* the pods, so I'm not really in the market for a fairing, but yours is one of the 2 or 3 I like best.

I've heard lots of complaints about having to DIY the mounting hardware, so your experience seems fairly typical. Pity about the ground clearance though. How is the lean clearance?

Marcodesade: no issues so far in the lean area although I have not really tapped the bikes full lean potential...

Thanks for the positive feedback guys; BTW just got a new upper fairing installed (under warranty) this last weekend due to peeling in several places on my original one. Anyone else experience this?
