I am taking a trip next month and I am looking at getting some saddlebags to go with my tailbag. Is anyone using others beside the ones that come from buell? What do you think about them.

I use the Cortech Sport setup with matching tail bag.
Does not hold a ton of stuff, but enough for a weekend getaway.

Chris:

Hard or soft?

Soft: 1st gear
Hard: Givi V35 (35l) and the Givi 21 litre bags.

FWIW, try the search function it does work pretty good.

Ok I will. I have been looking at the first gear soft bags cause they are 100 dollars cheaper than the buell bags and a little larger.

I run Cortech Sport bags on mine as well. Work's well for my normal riding and would problem do well for a weekend run. Although, for my trips I combine the saddle bags with my Ventura rack bags. Got those off of American Sportbike.

Chazs, I could not open that link but I believe these are the bags you're referring to pictured below. I like mine quite a bit. Just right for a few clothes/raingear, camera, drink and snack as well as a spare belt if I want it.
