Hey Harlan..i definetly will...so far so good. Do you have the Pro-tune 3 or Jardine exhaust? I will keep you all posted.

How is everybody else doing or flowing with the new K&N.

Thanks for feedback.

Rob - I just sent Lisa a thank-you e-mail.
As soon as I can order one thru Drag Specialties, I will.
Should be able to save a few bucks with my discount at work.

A Note from Lisa from K&N! I had to edit... Sales are high, not expected...

"Hi Rob,

Thank you for promoting K&N. I think we have you to thank for the sales of the BU-1108. It hasn’t been released a whole week yet and we've already sold 69 filters. About 95% of sales are from outside customers and not distributors. That’s never really heard of on a new filter. Thanks again!

Take care,

Lisa"

So as a general rule of thumb, could a K&N filter flow so much air that it might require a slight increase in fueling?

Harlan..and to the rest of the Buellers..yes and no. In my case with the Jardine exhaust and pro-tune 3 set as standard. Chris of K&N suggested a .5 increment to my yellow and red modes. So far either my system has learned quickly and i have no decel/lean popping condition but will play with it later today with the suggested increments. I am in socal dry and hot 90+degrees, I will post my results. Thanks to all.

George it does sound louder/quicker throttle reponse, etc esp with the inner airbox removed which i had before done. Seems louder than my exhaust...LOL.

I use the banned software and I am going to add 2-3% on my AFVS for this weekend's ride. I wish I had a more scientific way of determining mixture other than smelling the exhaust.

I'm gonna do the same, Fresno. I really need to get a wideband.

Wideband seems good. Any suggestions from those in the know about a good unit that isn't an arm and a leg.

To all:

.5 increments is for Jardine exhaust with K&N...with the pro-tune 3 fuel card you can adjust modes and fuel increment in .5 steps. I have had no problems with my first prototype installed by Mark Dobeck himself. easy to tune and not a map or piggyback, just a fueling card with modes(yellow/red used mostly). go to Jardine website or contact Chris Neely cneely@jardineproducts.com or sales at Jardine for more info.
Making close to 150 RWHP is not bad....! dynoed by Jardine. I will post more results with busy work schedule and jardine when i get a chance.

They shipped mine the day of ordering. Shipping takes as long as UPS Ground takes to get from CA to your locale. That's it.
