I am swapping the D&D for another pipe. Since i'm not on the forum too often, i'm out of the loop and could use an opinion on which pipe to get.

The reason for this change is because of longer road trips in the near future. I could never enjoy a long trip with this pipe, especially with the new GPS system I want.

I realize the engineers have good reasons for designing the stock exhaust but I hate how wimpy it sounds personally.

Is there some magical pipe out there that increases 20 HP and sounds wonderful... or should I just put the stock exhaust back on

The squishy rubber ones work well. Just keep a pair in you pocket for rides more than 20 minutes. You will love how crazy it sounds.

Oh quick question: I may not want another stock exhaust but for shits and giggles... would you have any interest in sending me your stock exhaust if I decrease the cost of the D&D you purchased from me?

Wellll... I live in upstate NY, and the pipe tickets are getting RIDICULOUSLY common, so I figure I should keep the stocker on hand. Next door neighbor was ticketed last year for an aftermarket can on a Suzuk Bandit 600. He hadda 1. put the stock can on, 2. go see da judge,3. get the ticket dismissed 4. ride straight home and put the aftermarket can back on.

Not too tough on these bikes 20 minutes you can swap the pipe out.

I love the D&D its sounds mean as hell. I have done 3 hours with no plugs. I then tried ear plugs and I must have used the wrong ones but it was just as loud.

I think you will find all the after market exhaust pretty loud except for the TM Torque hammer. From the dyno plots it looks to have the best power gains.

For a really good pipe that's not too loud...stay tuned. Something's coming. BR.

Just got my TM TH from Pete at Grand Stand Designs. I've heard the videos. Sounds nice. I've read the dyno graphs. Looks like honest HP to me. Can't to try it on the track for a few weeks. I just wish it was louder like the race exhaust.

I seem to be in the minority with the Saron pipe on my bike. I like the sound. Loud, but not way too loud. Sounds pretty wicked.

For me, soon enough is NOW. My stock muffler has a hole in it and must be replaced.

I like what I see in the TM TH... Except the price.

i have the drummer and love it. rate after i put it on there was a big power increase. thats before it learned.

the sound isnt quite but the only one quieter is Twinmotorcycles.com called the torque hammer. and they have a very detailed article on the build of it.

both the drummer and TMs are fully welded. strong, and mean.

i really took my time and figuring out which. they both had sound bits. but the tms pipe soundrd really quiet and i could still hear the sewing machine. then the drummer sounded bad ass.

but ill tell yah that the sound bits are why quieter then they actualy are. so the thammer is probably quite loud. the drummer is loud. once u get it and put it on and drive its hard to figure out how it sounds because it seems like the intakes are noose so noisier a resonating quility from them. but my dad took my bike for a spin in the city and i got to hear it with out ear plugs and standing while he drove off . i have to say its the best sound ive ever heard. well second to my girlfriend in pleasuraaa
