Don't change out the injectors unless you want to do a complete remap for the bike. It ran so poorly that I ended up putting the original injectors back in. I was hoping for it to run a little richer but it was way lean. A remap is in the future for my bike and I will give the 09s another try at that time. Hope this helps anyone that wanted to give it a try.

Just curious Chevy,
How did you determine that the bike was running lean? Wideband, AFV change, or just seat of the pants?
Thanks for being brave enough to try! I have been kicking the idea around for a while.
On a related note, does anyone know if the race teams are using the 08 or 09 injectors? Obviously the 09 bikes are using the new version but i wonder if the 08's have been retrofitted since they are mapping anyway.

I've got a wideband monitor. The bike only ran like crap at under 1/2 throttle. The wideband would show 16.5ish while accelerating and it would bog out and not go. Over 1/2 throttle is still seemed to run ok. The idle was a little more rough also. I'll try it again later with some programming.

I hate to be a stick in the mud, but is anyone really surprised that changing the injectors would result in anything but a poor running bike? If the injectors are different, then what they need to be told by the computer is going to be different as well.

Those are my thoughts, anyways.

I would think that with the changed position of the O2 sensors in the 09's that an '08 with '09 injectors and '09 map would still not run all that well.

I thought that the O2 change was really a just give them a break from the heat by moving them farther downstream.
