Hello all,
took my bike out for the first ride this season today, all went well but my speedo readings are all over the place?
I mean it goes up with speed but is going up and down very randomly. Last season was fine.

Any ideas? Everything else is fine.

Thanks!
(its hard enough to do the speed limit, even when you know how fast you are going!)

Your speedo needs to be rebooted. Seriously, it's just a computer. Unhook the negative battery terminal for about 10 seconds then hook it back up. That should do the trick.

Sounds like it could either be a bad speedo sensor or bad cluster. Either way it should be under warranty.

I tried the unhooking the battery, no good.

It worked fine when I put it away in the fall?

Took it for a ride today, it knows I'm speeding up but it is still all over the place?

Dealer warranty would be fine, but it is a long way.

Thanks for the advice!

The electronics on an 1125 can do weird things if the battery is marginally charged.
Put it on a charger for a while and see if that helps.

nope, is this a sigh of a bad cluster?

Anyone else had one replaced for this reason?
thanks!

I would guess it's the speed sensor before the cluster. But take it to a dealer. The parts and labor are free, even if they guess wrong the first time. Not the case for you.
