E-mail sent!

I put it in the e-mail, but for the benefit of everyone else that may want to know:

1) Are the dyno sessions going to require separate registration?

2) What’s the cost for the dyno time (hourly or per run)?

3) Should we bring our own laptop with us (with Ohio-based tuning software pre-loaded)?

Thanks Ponti for the heads-up.

No separate registrations for dyno, but give me a call or email me if that is your intention. I will have to check on the cost of the dyno, it will be minimal for that day.

We have a super guy that does the tuning and we have the software, etc.

Hope to see everyone there, it is going to rock and will be much more interactive than our last fall event, which was a very successful first attempt!!

I'm really enjoying seeing the interest in this. Last year this quickly got regarded as one of the best planned and executed events of the year . . . very cool stuff!

It should be a pretty cool event, besides the tech stuff, the trivia run we have planned will really be fun.

Also, we will be doing H.P. pulls on the dyno for $10.00. (In response to an email)

Bring friends, they don't have to have a Buell, just an interest in learning more about this amazing bike.

Jim

We are pleased to announce the Wes and Leah Orloff will be presenting at the Thunder and Lightning event. Wes and Leah are both engineers at Harley-Davidson and are both avid Buell racers.

Wes has been racing Buells since 1999, highlights being attaining the 2008 Battle of the Twins Formula 2 championship on a Buell XB12. Wes has also earned numerous battle of the twins national wins over the years, Fastrack Endurance wins on an XB9R, and even the first recognized national road race win on an XBRR. Wes is the two time defending Harley money class track champion at Union Grove Harley shootout series, hot street champion at the Country Harley Drags, and past AMRA race event winner, all on his 10 second Buell lightning drag bike. Wes also holds a World Landspeed record on a Buell XB9 (MPS-PP 1000cc: 169.321 mph). Orloff is an avid supermotard competitor in the summer, switching to ice racing during the winter months, all on a KTM525SMC. In addition to his racing exploits, Wes also helps teach a road race school with Sportbike Track Time.

Leah started road racing in 2004, and has become a consistent top ten finisher in the Battle of the Twins Formula 3 class, racing a Buell XB9 and Suzuki SV650. Leah has also taken over the reigns of WFO Racing’s championship winning Buell X1 Lightning drag bike, all ready going quicker and faster than Wes. Leah also competes on the supermotard and ice racing circuit with Wes. Wins are just a matter of time for this fearless competitor….

Hope all of you will have a chance to meet and talk with both Wes and Leah.
