I would like to know how to tell if I have the new better rear blinkers. I have heard there is a white stripe or something? just had another failure and I want to know if the next ones I get are going to last. If not can I just replace them with a set of LP blinkers? Thanks for any help.

The new version is supposed to have a white ring around the wires next to where they exit the blinker. If you want you can replace them them with LP or any other brand. A little patience will save you $'s.

Ccryder is right.
The new ones have a white strip wrapped around the wire.
