Would anyone else besides me like to see that cool translucid bodywork become available for our beloved 1125's? Id love to have a see through front fairing, also clear side pods would make checking the coolant alot easier. Translucent panels seem to be a Buell exclusive.

Personally not a fan of the translucent body panels. They also seem to show scratches very easily in the same way that the screen does.

I have an Orange Trans airbox on Loretta.
I like it, not a real problem keeping clean either.

I am waiting for a Hero Blue CR, tranlucent everything. I am sick of Erik stealing my idea AFTER I build one!

The translucid body work does nothing for me. In fact, when I had it, I painted over it. Hard to keep scratch free and looks kinda cartoonish IMO.

Though I, too, had thought I wanted transparent / translucent/translucid body panels, the transparent hero blue xb intake cover on my 1125 reminded me why not: not sufficiently shatter resistant.

That's because, although a polycarbonate, for example, is an advanced engineering polymer that is substantially more impact-resistant than common amorphous clear polymers, it's not the equal of the semi-crystalline high-impact polymers like nylon and abs.

So one corner of my clear cover has broken out (left front at the screw) because it's not supported by the internal airbox any more. And I've seen plenty of others on Thunderbolts et al., broken out there.

And so, if/when your 1125 goes over on its side as mine has done, the radiator covers won't be just scratched as they do now, if they're clear they'll shatter, especially around the fasteners.

But I do agree the coolant level could be seen better -- so I've added a hole in the right radiator cover about 1" diameter that is filled with a solid grommet.
