Yes, that's a good price, and yes, it's a great exhaust. I'm saving my pennies for it, but racerxusa has one and swears by it. I've heard it, and it sounds awesome.

I picked mine up on the cheap for under $300 and yeah, it's CF. You won't lose power and you'll definitely pick up a lot of sound. From what I can tell, only the D&D is louder.
It's got a pretty harsh bark when you first start it, then it settles into a deep snarl of sound. Up to about 6000 rpm, it's not too loud, but once you get past that point, it starts howling. I haven't been pulled over by a LEO for it yet, but I'm sure it's coming soon. Accelerating away from someone, you can still be CLEARLY heard over 1/2 a mile ahead of them. A buddy of mine was following in a jeep, so wind noise at 70 mph for him and he still heard me until I shut it down.
Just for reference on power, 3rd gear has always been very lightening for the front wheel, now 4th is also. I've done the solenoid, K&N filter and a Jardine pipe. Plenty of power and now it doesn't sound like a sewing machine with rocks inside it.

My old FZ6 with the stock exhaust was a sewing machine the 11 isn't even close. I agree with Carbon, marbles in a coffee can, or wingnuts in a dryer. When I got my bike I liked the overall noise but was surprised by the clatter. Maybe one of the heads is loose???

A new drummer owner sold it to me, so I guess there's 2 happy people now. I only wanted it for the collector and straight pipe anyway, but it sounds good enough for me at the present time.
