Hopefully some of the billet vendors will see this. Our HUDs are a tad bit dim in the sun light. I bought a kick @ss *opps meant - ash* windscreen to try and brighten mine up a little. I was wondering if someone could fabricate a small "shade" that attaches to the top of the HUD to help shade it. Short of taking some cardboard and doing it on my own I would buy a nice fitted aluminum one or such. I dunno, I'm on a 4 day weekend and I'm thinking of all kinds of crap. What do you guys think? If we found a vendor to make one would anyone else buy it?

My Dark Smoke ZG serves the same purpose. Also my Passport 8500X50 helps, since it's mounted over the IC.

Ehhh, I don't want to put my V1 on the bike, besides I don't ever break the speed limit anyways. Maybe cardboard and duct tape is the way to go.

I'd be interested in something along those lines. I live & ride in Az so I can relate. I'll stay tuned, thanks

I want to know how you got a Heads Up Display on your bike? Mine just has a crappy gauge based console.

Spectrum you have a HUD too! You don't just "ride" an 1125r. When you are tucked, you become a pilot, maneuvering your finely tuned machine through the twisties with skill. When tucked and in "pilot" mode, the Instrument Cluster becomes a Head's Up Display.

Don't you wished you could live in my world more often? lol

My beer repository doesn't allow me to assume that particular position. I can hunker down, sure, but it would take some serious bike yoga to get get my helmet down below the top of the screen.

Uncle Sam strictly prohibits the possession of a beer repository in the combat arms realm. And hunkering down on top of the air box isn't bad now, but I can't imagine having a little chunk and trying to squeeze down on top of it. lol reminds me of a high school buddy. We had a local "gear head" hang out, and it was mainly GN guys. One day our buddy shows up on a bike, we saw him ride it up to the shop and started laughing because he was an a little 600. Keep in mind this dude was huge. About 6'3ish and upwards of 275-300 pounds. He looked like a Circus Bear on that thing. A few months later when his skilled increased, wheelies became the local lunch time laugh in the parking lot. “What bike? Get off that poor thing so we can see it!”

I ride in AZ and was irritated with HUD glare so I painted my windscreen black, and I love it.
