Was wondering if an Anonymous could pop in and throw us a bone as to what this mysterious 4th flash corrects and if any of us need it at all?

I'd like to know also regarding the 4th (04Z?)reflash. I spoke w/ my dealer today & he confirmed it's available but said he didn't know what it affected???

The fourth flash has not seemed to effect anything power wise on my 08. It did however seem to keep the battery from draining so fast as I can now let it sit for a little over a week and it will still start fine where as before, a couple of days and the bike would be totally dead.

I received a letter from Buell and a call from my dealer regarding the previous flashes, but have heard nothing outside of BadWeb. Does anyone have confirmation of the 04Z on paper, or is this something you're being verbally told?

I'm not saying it doesn't exist, but this thing is awfully mysterious for something that's been out for a while now.

The update is 'Supposed" to be done when an 08 is brought in for service work. It's not on any dealer update sheets from Buell. It is however on the Digital Tech that all Buell Dealers are required to have as a diagnostic/update tool. If you want it, take your bike in and request the update. like I said, it didn't seem to change anything performance wise. just seems to make the battery draw less when the key is off.

That's what the first flash was supposed to do!?!? I was looking for more detailed information, since I don't know if I want it if I have no idea what it's really intended for...Not to mention, I was just reading another thread where Zac4mac says he's got "05Z"!!

Does anyone have information as to the concrete existence of, and details surrounding, any flash labeled "04Z" or "05Z"?
