415 hp, 415 lb ft', 6 spd manual, can pull .85g's, 0-60 in 4.7 sec .... I don't care if that is a Pontiac, that still isn't bad ... especially for a 4 Door Sedan.

As far as the prices of our 1125's go ... you have to count on the fact that once you buy it and ride off the lot, it drops rapidly in monetary value. You have to look at how much fun you are going to have owning, tinkering, and riding it. Unless you plan on owning the bike for a year or two, I still think you can get your money's worth.

"Flooring" bikes is rapidly becoming very expensive. Last week HOG(NYSE) had to pay 15% interest to get financing to floor and finance bikes. HOG was one of about a half dozen companies that have had to pay 10 to 15% interest to raise capital. Today Volvo announced a bond offering paying almost 10% interest. When a conservative company like Volvo has to pay that high an interest rate when the prime rate is near zero says one thing- investors are scared that even these well established companies may default, and expect healthy interest to compensate them for that risk.

HOG will be passing those 15% interest rates on to dealers with a few % added on for profit. Thus a $10,000 bike will be costing the dealer around $150 a month just to keep around as it continues to fall in value. It's no wonder the smarter dealers are unloading their '08 1125s at $8k! Some dealers aren't that smart- the other day I called a dealer in Jamestown, ND about an '07 XB12TT they had listed for $8500. Last fall they had it on eBay with a $7500 minimum bid and had no takers. I offered them that $7500 and was ready to head up to NoDak with my pickup if they said yes. Dumb dealer still wants $8500, so he'll probably be looking at that '07 for another year.

>>>>investors are scared

Understatement.

The Dow Jones Index was in the 13,000 range the day Obama won his first primary.

Court ... don't remind me. January of 08' I had the option of paying for the 1125R in cash, or "playing" with that money. I chose to invest and finance the bike. 1 year later, that 12 thousand dollars has a value of approximately $4500 and I still owe $7,900 on the 1125R. I'm not stupid enough to pull my money, until the value goes back up ... even if that is five years from now.
