i just picked a Jardine slip on system for a smoking deal. is there anyone on here running this pipe? Just looking for some feedback.
I already have a K&N installed and a Remus Powerizer on its way.... i think it should run pretty decent with this setup? Maybe later on down the road i will pick up a drummer system after they are released but i couldnt pass up the deal on the Jardine.

I been thinking about the Jardine. What is "a smoking deal?" I see the aluminum one on ebay for about $400, but I want carbon fiber . . .

I have the Jardine CF and so far I like it.

It's light, looks good, and has a real deep tone to it. It is loud, though.

As the Jardine was the only system around that didn't seem to loose power, I got an ally one for the race bike, Certainly no lose in power, just race legal here (95 -102DB) Everyone seems to like the sound although the 1125's sound a bit like a tractor at idle.
Only negative was the pipe had to be twisted around a little more and spaced toward the wheel, as it kept hitting the ground.

I have the aluminum one and love it. That CF one definitely looks better though. The thing is loud and sounds great with no noticeable power loss (or gain) anywhere.

Dtx,
Your bike looks great with the CF Jardine. I was't crazy about the Jardine slip on until I saw your bike. It looks good. My big concern is the ground clearance and being loud. I commute to work during the week and do a couple track days a month.

Sheepaholic,

For some reason my exhaust looks tucked up tighter and closer to the bike. Yours appears to be sticking out a little further (which is maybe why it was hitting the ground while leaned over). Mine is real close to touching the rear tire...but doesn't. I have about 1/2" clearance.

Great stuff and they are working with Buell bikes and me...I like it! and its made here in America...Corona, CA. I have been working with Jardine with my 1125CR with Mark Dobeck..Dobeck permormance, superbike genius. Chris Neely at Jardine/design+tuner,etc.(powercommander.dyno-jet) He spent all day and more on it and got an extra 5 HP+ and torgue..flat and linear..all over the powerband. Sounds great to me and from others at the shop/bike events as I am giving feedback to Jardine and they will have a piggy back card for the stock ecm like mine to give you that power and its nearby me and American!

They are working hard with me and Buell on this one.....give it a try!..I have the carbon fiber and its holding up great...may melt the rear plastic spool on rear swingarm , should have been aluminum as I am checking on this with aftermarket and Buell so keep in touch and expect great things in 2010 with Buell!, maybe a race bike..RR!..so if you like your easy to ride 1125R now keep it!..because 2010 could be very superbike like?!!!....

I was in Vegas last week with Harley Davidson/Buell at Back to the Track program(Now what manufacturers do this for their employees,etc?)...also Jason DiSalvo and other top veteran/young racers at Las Vegas Motor speedway rode it and most were very impressed compared to there race or other competitor sportbike,superbikes..etc. The Ducati 1098 is uncomfortable to most and just a track bike for someone with long arms and short legs, very Italian, most bikes dont have those ergos in superbike! ha ha..watch out Buellers this year and 2010 is gonna rock the sportbike world...!! Buells handle and get the power to the ground for street and track......thats the difference!

Sorry I cant say more and be vague for now...wait and see! You will see and be impressed...cant wait, finally.

Give Kudo's to Jardine/Summit Industries and Mark Dobeck of Dobeck Performance

Good Morning!

Well after much time and effort with Mark Dobeck we got your bike tuned. We worked all day yesterday, without a lunch even, until 4pm. We were primarily tuning the closed loop portion of the bike to which you cruise in and do most of your freeway cruising, this is were we had the difficulty. Aside from all the tuning we had to do, Mark Dobeck wants to talk to you about the forums and how well need your participation in the rest of the tune of the bike. This will be you riding whenever and wherever and getting back to us with any quirks, differences or praises. I know you have been pressed on time with this bike, and I do appreciate your patience, but it is also something that is not easily achieved overnight. Since the Buell system is so different than other sportbikes, it takes more time and care to get it where it needs to be. This is also because of the new motor in bike as well. In the end we will need to rely on your feedback from riding, (since we obviously can’t ride it!) and thoughts and changes. Gary also mentioned you will be getting a K&N air filter on it as well, which this card is perfect for because we can leave enough adjustability for you to make the most power with that. Especially since that airbox is big!! Anyway, I will follow up with a phone call. And you can come and meet and talk with myself and Mark Dobeck. Again, I apologize for the time discrepancy, but this bike was a challenge. I look forward to meeting you in person today, Mark will be back in our shop around 12 or so, but I will follow up with a phone call to make sure about times before we come and get you. Thanks again and talk to you soon.

Jardine

Polished the headers and heat shield. Cheap good sound and no power loss. Hard to go wrong with the jardine.

Is it my understanding that the Jardine plus whatever else was done on the bike produced 5 h.p.? I guess I need to read it again.

BTW, I had my bike (totally stock 08R)on the dyno last saturday, produced 125 hp and 126 hp on the baseline runs, used XB9's software and posted 133 h.p. on the last run. This was with the stock muffler.

I saw and heard the can on Saturday.

It is supposed to make a power difference, but my GAWD it's loud.

Of course, I heard it inside, so it might not be as loud as it really seemed.

I guess I'm getting old. I sort of like my bikes stealthy.

Guys - on the 1125CR, did you guys have to "reflash" the ECU? The guys at jardine said the bike ran poorly, or even went into an "error mode" but I think they may have been referring to the first generation R.

I wish these manufacturers had a quiet insert option...I know Remus does but I'm going to try the Jardine anyway.

Thanks for any help.

teach is right
For the price I'd rather have xb9 s software with a stock pipe and a little map change for a little over 100$ than to spend 400 + on a pipe that leans a bike out.I noticed my bike ran better with the air filter cover/box off than any other mod. Lots of torque!!! Ohio weather is awesome today!!!

I put a stock exhaust can back on and left the air cover off and she ran good just like that. It probably leans it out too.i wish i would of tried it with the remus and air cover off.

I think that some of the aftermarket exhausts look great and sound awesome. Maybe, a bit too loud...on some of them. But they look cool! We did have hitmans bike in our shop and I liked the looks and sound of the Jardine. But, you have to add fuell to get real performance. XB9 did nothing but use his software and got 6 to 8 hp increase with the stock muffler on my bike. And that was only changing a few things, more HP is available with more tuning.

Ya im down with this software xb9 is selling .I will purchase it with my tax return.I have a laptop so im set.I cuurently run a speed density setup for boost>>> holley commander 950 unit wideband on my 10 second mustang .theres tons of paremeters to change like what tps to enter closed loop, startup enrichments ,at mods, coolant mods, and it also has a 3d map to view and change realtime ,and a dattalogger & much more .With a little reading ill be in there and be a tuning machine.I just wish i had a way to datalog this thing on the street.I found that this worked the best on my car a dyno doesnt give true loads like a track or street in my opinion.Ive tuned my car on a dyno"dynojet" and max her out at 572hp and 545lbs of torque then ran it at the track and ran 10.45s.I did more tuning at track and street and richened the fuel pressure and a couple cells two and went to 10.02s.So i definately need a wideband dattalogger. Numbers are nice but theres more to squeeze in between these peek numbers and to put the vehicle in the motion that it is being run also makes the difference. Thats how if got 4 tenths more out of my car.

I will get the dyno chart for you this morning. Yours was lower because I was using SAE Power figures and not dynojet. I have yours in dynojet as well, it was over 140whp.

Hey FYI Teach it was about 5HP more than stock and more torque(about 5 lbs more) from low to high RPM. So in conclusion tuning is the key! Still working on feedback with rides, etc and maybe getting the bike back to them again for more tuning...but read the exerpt from before:

My bike is going back on the dyno on Sat. (hopefully) Our goal is to produce fuel/spark mapping to get 10 to 12 h.p. with a stock muffler. I will keep you posted. I am awaiting for your riding impressions from your bike with the Jardine and tuning.

Are the K&N filters available??
