Hi all

Been looking at the CR recently and I like it. Went to get PX prices on my current ride and it was dismal. My dealer then said they could give me a better deal on an 1125R that they currently have in stock.

My problem is that I have previously found sport bikes with bar arrangements like the R to uncomfortable to ride unless I'm going fast. Hence me looking at the CR with the bar option.

My question to you all is... Can I do anything with the 1125R bars to make it more comfortable for me? Info and pics would be massively appreciated for this newbie. Please be sympathetic...

Convertibars.

Neil (Ccryder) has 'em and swears by 'em. Maybe he'll chime in with the details on his setup.

Thanks for the helpful info guys. Is there a specific set of convertibars I need to look for? I'll have a look at UK prices.

How does this conversion compare to the CR riding position with the optional high bars?

I know that the 1125R is all about high speed but whats it like commuting through a start stop city like London and then country lanes with a 9 year old son on the back as pillion?

Paul:

Look here: http://tinyurl.com/c9sk7c
Even with the optional bars for the cr this set up can be higher and more to the rear plus, you can adjust the rotation and the angle of your wrists.

You will need: Longer brake and clutch lines, 3" lengthened: Clutch and brake switch wires, and switch harness'. This will allow the most flex-ability.

Let me know if I can help.

Thanks for the pointers Neil.

Did you initially perform the conversion with longer hoses? Did you buy the electrics form Buell or did you get them made up separately?

I tried it first w/o the new hoses and had very limited movement. I lengthened the wires myself.
