08 vs 09 you can get a 08 a lot less than a 09..with certain 09 up grades..is it worth it? or just buy the 09? the bike will be track only thanx JT | ||

if its just a track bike I would buy the 08 and get all the recalls and flashes done. The injector mods on the 09 are really for low engine speed work I believe. I would then spend the cash saved on extra tyres and track days - but I prefer my white 09 1125R to the black 08 | ||

Not that much changed, to my knowledge. If you can get one of those $8-9k '08s... I guess I've had $4-5k+ fun in the last year. | ||

Hell yea it`s worth it! (at least for me it was) The 1125r is the best thing that I have added to my toy box in years. (even though I paid msrp) Either way just go get one and you will see. | ||

Since you're even asking the question, get a 2008. The only meaningful differences (that aren't recall updatable for free) are the targeted injectors, the gear indicator, and rear spools. Fly to Gainesville for $200, have your biked shipped for $600 and you'll be out the door for $8800. Then you'll need the new injectors at $250, spools at $??, and a Dyno Tune $450. That'll push you to a bit over $9500 + TT&L, saving 3k. If you care about color, you can paint the frame and wheels for under 1k, plastics will cost another $600. | ||
