Bigblock, or somebody else here is my 2 cents of thought. The problem is that 14.7 AF is too lean for a rotax engine. I would never ever let my engine run 14.7 AF for what kind of reason. I like my engine to run not too lean, keep it cool enough and get the max in HP and torque out of it.

Thinking about that the first thing I want to get rit of is my lamda. It is only a emission tool and nothing else.

Anybody who love to drive faster then the law, or has the feeling to race the bike on the track, would really reconsider to get rit of the both O2 sensors (lamda's) and get a good fuel map. Of course this is only my opinion but you should try my bikes and let me know how they drive (-;

Xbswede, You first have to know if the CL is running 14.7 and I can tell you it is not. SO if you still like too keep the O2 sensor working, also remap that area.

I wish I had my 1125R back and finish the fuel map for you guys.

I agree 100%...the actual A/F ratio is much leaner than 14.7:1 in CL.

+1 Easrider, That's exactly my opinion also.
So what A/F ratio have you found to be ideal on this engine?

The only thing good about the stock lambda's is it gives you a great place to install your wideband O2 sensors.: )

EAsyRider,
Just a Question or two, If you get rid of the 02`s How does the map fix itself say for spring/summer/fall weather also for sea level/ Mountain riding, and other conditions in which the ecm wd. need to adjust for, from the standard MAP Just a bit confused when you say get rid of the 02`s in a fuel Injected Ecm??

"You first have to know if the CL is running 14.7 and I can tell you it is not."

Well that's not very comforting. Do you get an engine code for removing the O2 sensors?

Now if CL is running a 14.5 -14.7 then I would not have an issue with that. Especially since I am not looking for a race bike and need to commute on the freeway.

But isn't CL such small Throttle position area that if you were to drive fast and race around in the twisites you are more then likely no longer in the CL area?

Hogs, there are other sensors that work to correct the map for these conditions, e.g. barostat, temp sensors. AFV's correct for differences between bikes, and also changes in performance over time from such things as injectors, air filters, spark plugs, exhaust changes, etc.

Bigblock, your comment on the coil plug-in connectors turned a light on. The wavy nature of the trace on my bike could certainly be caused by that - similar to the spark break-down older cars used to experience when points began to wear out.

More likely it is that then in the reflash, actually. I really don't feel the loss of power when riding the bike, but you could hear it on the dyno as the rpm went above 7000. I'll look at it this weekend.

After a while yes. It's just a code, nothing more don't let it bother you.

"normal" non-aggressive street riding you spend a lot of time closed loop.

Drive fast and race around, no.

The CL area on the 1125R is actually quite large in # of cells. More so than previous models.

If the O2 is disconnected will the system go into a safemode and run richer? Or will it maintain the last learned front and rear AFR percentage.

So if I am currently at 100F/100R, will it pretty much lock does values in.

Jpfive,
Have to disagree with ya there,,Maybe you should send a note to the Engineers at Buell and all the other manufacturers
in the world and tell them Hey... Save money and don`t bother to waste money on installing 02 sensors etc etc...

Its a whole package deal and even such a small thing as a exhaust leak before the sensors can and Will throw off the tables lean conditions etc etc...!

May be ok for running on a drag strip for a certain day, but in real world riding Nope won`t work Period...!

Hallo to you all.

Just talked too the manufacturer of the exhaust, with the coming x-mas holidays and the problems we had getting the good steel, it's sure now it will be January before I can send Pete from Grandstanddesign the first pipes.

Our excuses for the delay
