This was what Persephone looked like this past week.

Main case gasket failure. Leaking at both front and rear cylinders. Also got my instrument cluster replaced as the LCD was leaking.

That would be great if you would. I love mechanisms. What all are you doing to her?

Nothing really exciting, had to split her open to repair the case leak. Bike has more than enough power for my street riding and trackdays. Besides I still have 2 years left on my warranty, no need to mess with that. My winter mods are:

- GPR Steering stabilizer
- Dark Horse Moto front and rear sliders
- Drummer or Jardine can (want a Drummer if its avail before riding season gets here)
- Solenoid removal with resistor plug so there are no codes thrown
- K & N air filter
- Full custom paint job that will remain a secret until I get it all put back together and post pics (late January)

That makes sense. Just wasn't sure if some mad genius was on the quest for the Holy Buell. Someone needs to encourage Durbahn to do his magic to one.

Oddball, if I remember right the plastic gear does not go to anything important, just the oil pump!

Plastic? or carbon composite?

Chevy is correct - it drives the oil pump. It is just plastic IIRC

Edmbueller,

Cool pics!

When you had her apart, did you look at the output shaft at all?

There is a lot of free rotation and mechanically, was just wondering how in fact, the internals limit its engagement?

Perhaps the power pulses dictated the need for this design so as not to overly feel it in the final drive...

I'm simply curious, nothing suspected wrong at all...

Thanks for any info! mm
