Thanks,
Les

Wow, you're gonna do it, huh?! Cool!

Should be getting the new 08 next week or some time after??? so while they make their minds up on, who pays for what, I'll have the 09 pipes ceramic coated and waiting on them when they say I can pick up the new one. This is too much, the it's just setting their... waiting for someone to make a decision?

Anyway I'll be ready for em.

Thanks for the info Krassh,
Les

Your welcome.

They still trying to jerk you around with the payments you made on the first bike?

If you are doing to header swap yourself let me know if you need some tips for swapping without rotating the engine.

Thanks Krassh I will.

Who knows what there going to do about the rest of it.

Although Buell CS has always been fair with me.

So no complaints here, as its winter and folks just seem to move just a little slower down here...

Thanks again
Les

I guess I'm a bit confused...

'09 Injectors with '08 O2 sensors in the '09 locations running on an '08 ECM? Is this expected to run well?

well there are no difference between the 08 and 09 O2 sensors. Technically and I believe annoy posted this, with the 09 headers and 09 injectors you will also need the ecm flashed to an 09.

Which might not be hard to do if someone provides a raw dump of a 09 ecm using ECMspy.

Wow...That would be a ton of manual data entry for ECMspy, since you can't just open up the file and write the whole thing.

You can do a raw dump of the 1125R ECM using ECMspy as well as upload a raw dump file.

Ohhh, I was not aware of that...Thanks! I thought the only functionality that worked was the manual changes and the writing changes.

I can tell you straight away that I'll not be the first to volunteer.

I also won't claim to understand the problem or potential problem with the other method.

So, '09 injectors and flash of ECM is all that's apparently required?

Is there no problem with the ECM receiving different feedback from the O2s since they're closer to the exhaust port and the temps are likely hotter? (Disclaimer: this is not a question based upon the expectation of any particular answer)

All the wideband datalogging averages out so I can't see an absolute need for the headers, other than the hotter temp question, which is valid. Proper o2 placement/design proved that long before the 08 11 was released.

I've got o2 bungs in two different locations and we tested the flashes with both prior to this mod...no difference.

Nor is there any difference in samples at either location. I would have to lean to the design change being made for the reasons of o2 life more so than tuning related.

I'll be trying both soon enough and will post the differences, if any but again, three other bikes prove zip regarding this subject.
