Ok I've ruffled feathers, made some people laugh, and given some insight to a few.
So now its your turn.
I would like to first and foemost thank Mr Erick Buell for the insight and dream which we are now riding! THANK YOU!
Your insperation inspires me.

To the point.
Is it possable, probable, to let some copyrighted, trademarked, intell out to the aftermarket for an outside co to manuf some mapping software or some type of "kit" to tune a little without a computer?
(ie: power comander)
A stand alone unit which would allow some flexability for bolt on parts. Like pipes, gearing changes, or the like.
Help, I really don't want to jeprodise realiablty, or warranty issues. Just have fun and ride the crap out of it.
Pucker sponges type of fun.

word out our way is that Buell ECMs have been "hacked" in the past, and BMC has come up with a solution to the "hack" and if you have any re-flashes done, the "solution" is incorperated in it.

Don't worry too much about your age, Timi.
I gotta hunch you'll still feel the same.
I'm 54, a couple of the first wave of us 1125R Early Adopters were in their 60s.

If it's in your blood, it's there for life... literally.

Ok...I give......

What makes this ECM mapping/remapping) so much different than any other bike (open loop......OR.......most ANY car on the market (closed loop!)...?

It IS...possible!
Now that said, it may cost a little more, so it may not be a good return on the initial investment dollar...BUT IT IS possible.

I posted what I "heard"

I know even less

I assume that it is just like anything else computer security related...it can be hacked again, but will take more work by some hacker type of person

Guys let's look at what I'm saying in a diffrent light.

If I hack, the next time igo for warr work, the computer "talking" to mine MAY reveal my hack. Oh no no more warr!!!

There are stand alone "boxes or brains" that simply plug into the stock wiring harness AFTER the ecm and alter the signals to the injectors and timing controls. Rice runners (import Fast and Furious type cars) have had thia tech for years!

Also has gsxrs and the like.

So I guess at this point nothing is avail.

So here we are.
Hence the Help!!!

The delima continues...

Latus (Board Sponsor)is working on a fueller for the 1125R along with their own pipe. The fueller is similar to a Power Commander where you just add or subtract fuel.
They are currently is process of Dyno tuning the pipe before bringing it to market.

They are currently running the setup on their race bike.

I will see if I can get an update tomorrow when I am over there for one of our local Buell ride meet-ups.

Last I heard was that they were a few months out.

Dhdjr, dark horse has a lot of crap.
Carbon fiber plastic?
My experience with that carbon-fadin-plastic isn't very good.
I'm not dogging them, its great to see a lot of stuff there.
Their power comander really isn't THAT adjustable. It has a setting, but that's it.
Oh well not exactly what I'm looking for.
Thanks for the intell!!!
Folks that site has some neat stuff, but unless you like bling watch out for carbon fiber plastic, unless its uv protected, it will fade like a joint at a greatful dead concert!!!

I strongly recommend a set of sliders front and rear.
Rears saved my swingarm yesterday.
Got a little ham-fisted and went sliding.

My new Dark Horse Moto sliders did their job.
Gotta go out to the garage and fit it to the lathe and clean it up.

Happy modding!

It's the 1st year bike syndrome! In time all sorts of products will hit the market, till then I guess having one of these bada$$ bikes will have to do. I feel your frustration as I've got an aftermarket pipe on mine & need a tuning device BADLY. We'll get there

Dhdjr, yep I'm shure everything will work out.
Z, you "ham fisted", I've HEARD of fisting, but with a ham? Wow some visual!
Seriously, it sounds as tough your ok. (as bikes can be replaced, we can't) glad to know your alright!!!
Umm lathe in garage? Cool, I have a welder, various saws, and a lot of skill to make just about anything I can afford. Except eletronics, or I'd make my own ecm. Ha ha, ho ho, hehe!
Yea RIGHT!!!

Hope Your ham is ok.bro

I guess no power tuner for Christmas, mabie a computer? Yea I can change this and that........
