Well, at least I got some good reading out of this blog. I will visit a friend at the HD dealer and see if he can fix me up on some of those if not all of the twist Slypiranna said.

Thanks Yall

I had mine dynoed about 1000k's after the third flash and it went from 134.33 hp down to 123.48 not happy.

There have been a lot of complaints about hot running, hot fuel and tanks low speed surging etc, Reality check how do you make a high performance engine run cooler and smoother, Answer you detune it.

I asked my dealer to put the stock flash back in mine but it is aparently not possible.

Regards Brett

Tasmaniac,

Did you lock your throttles 1:1, adjust throttle cables to minimal end play and perform the tps reset?

One more question...do you still have your STOCK exhaust to throw back on and dyno again?

With all due respect...the new flash is NOT a detune on fuel and spark tables...we've compared them...tho only with the US flashes...thanks to someone extracting and converting to real numbers...from HEXdecimal.

I tell all rice burners that are so proud they can smoke me in a straight line down the highway that "heck my wife can shift gears hold gas wide open and do that". School them in the twisties you will feel much better. I'm old and it works for me.On the x bike board I say, ride naked play dirty.

Although it is true that cornering on the 1125R is great, the bikes should still have big power, and the 3rd flash takes absolutely nothing away. Something else is wrong with any bikes that lost power. You guys are in a small minority, which means it's not in the 1125 or the flash per se. And 140mph top speed means your example is not close to right. A guess? Make sure nothing is blocking the throttles from opening all the way.

I got the 3rd flash & all it did was smooth it out and make it drivable. If 140mph is all your getting, you should only be in the range of 85oo in 6th gear at sea level if your not heading into a strong wind. Just my experiance from a couple weeks ago. And thats w/ a screwed up clutch.
it aint the norm?

Man, I shure am glad I only had the first flash done!
Ck the wobble shaft alignment to the muffler bearing. There should be only .000003 clearance between the ruffle spoon and the bearring housing.
Ck the clearance verry carefully because if the wobble shaft has too much/little clearance, the possability of the shaft contacting the
"WTF" switch located on the 16th resistor on the second board (sibling board)

When this happens, the wrist switch "thinks" its the knee ball and sends a false signal to the fuel lobes, which causes a loss of dog power. Hence "she runs like a dog"

So the flow of bullsh*t increases to the point of no return. And the problem remains, or gets worse.

I am wondering if there is an issue with the California bikes and the 3rd reflash not making quite the same top-end.

With Diagnostic Mode, it is a simple and quick check.
Make sure you have 2-100% and it's smooth, lock to lock.
Hint - do it in "Park" with the engine off.
