"Definitely Buell has hit a home-run with this machine"... "This bike is really, really, really good."

Congratulations Buell!

I held back a year from the 1125R for this one. I purchased it two weeks ago in Columbia, SC. I have no regrets. Changed to upright handlebars. Thunder Tower Harley Davidson in Columbia, SC has another black 1125CR and two 1125R models in stock on the showroom floor. They can be "googled" for address and phone number. I've had the cam recall done also. Took about a week for that. I was able to talk down the salesman a couple hundred dollars at the time. So, I did not pay the SRP.

Sleeper, can you post a pic or two of the upright handlebar setup?

Here's mine...

Night and day difference. There has been discussion on this, and the upshot was if you like forward bars, the stockers rock. If you like higher bars, the optional ones rock. Just what you like.

Me like....

That's what mine looks like also. It's a very nice kit, not shabby. The brake, throttle and electrical lines are extended to allow for those bars. The mid plate in the center has a Buell logo. All anodized black. If you are comfortable on a 9 or 12 lightning, this is just about the same.

Thanks! Those look great and a bit more comfortable.

? are the CR aftermarket bars like the XB models on the Lightning bikes? Just wondering and I was gonna try if bars like Renthal or other mx style bars will work and i cant see a reason why not...are they 1 inch or 7/8 and wish they could use taper bars or Fat bars like MX..maybe with mods. maybe a suggestion to aftermarket companies.

Nice pics of the CR! Rob...I'm getting mine soon(black) with some mods to come(pipe, plastics, etc); working for Buell in Riverside, California sales and to think I was about to buy another Harley...Dyna model just B4 i made my decision after riding the 09 models again..what fun!

The CR with the bar kit feels almost exactly like a Lightning. I love the bend. But you could use any number of aftermarket stuff, too.

Blake: excellent news, thanks for posting. My self-esteem just shot up a few dB.

Now, wait a minute, I own an '08 1125R... never mind. Back to sulking...
