Anybody had a circumstance where they could verify the accuracy of the digital speedometer? Especially at higher speeds.

Analog speedos are usually off at higher #'s, and I was just rolling that around in my noggin on the way home tonight.

Happy Halloween!!!

Using my GPS I found that up to 90 the speedo was dead on accurate. Haven't tested it higher.

Mine agrees with GPS above 90. Speedo is most accurate of any bike I have owned.

Mine always agrees with the radar billboards the cops move around town.
I've seen them up to around 60 mph.

Hwyranger(Tom) is a CHP, he should be able to have his radar checked at speed.

I haven't been able to cruise at speeds above 85 to get a stable GPS readout but it within an MPH up to 85. I wasn't surprised though. My Uly is with 1 mph and the Ss is within 1 as well. I just kinda expect that from Buell.

It's been funny cruising with guys that have uh, Asian bikes, they've all thought that I'm kinda of a speed demon with a flagrant disregard for LEO's and the posted speed limit. Some of their's are off as much as 8 mph even at 70.

I've got an ancient Garmin that I bought as a back up for flying. Unfortunately it switches off at 100kts so it's no use in the 'plane and hardly any use on a 1125

One reason I asked, is a buddy of mine at work has a Harley Dyna 96", and we can't find any reference online as to it's top speed. His speedo seems to go non-linear at about 90. I was going to offer to pace him and see what it will do.

In 6th gear at 6000rpm I read 100mph. I'm not too good with math but knowing the gear ratios and tire diameter it should be possible to determine accuracy.
