I was wondering if anybody has had a chance to compare the stock "clubman" style bars on the CR versus the "taller" handlebar that is available for it.

I like the way the clubman bars look, but they still force the rider to lean forward more than I find comfortable. Heck, I just lately installed a set of 1" bar risers on my cityX, and the bike is so much more comfortable- wish I had done it 20K miles ago.

If anyone has gotten around to doing this mod, speak up....

I have all the parts in house to do it. Just need the time. Had to go in to work today to clean deals... If I get time I might attack that tonite. I have an appointment to have the dealership do it on the 27th, so if I can't get to it by then, I'm gonna let them do it.

REALLY looking forward to it.

Take a look here b4 you go the CR route: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/404042.html?1224679353

My impression of the CR seating/ bar position is that it is not that different than the r. Sit on one and compare b4 you go that route.

My dealer has installed the optional bars on their CR in hopes to appeal to more buyers. I sat on it last week and it feels nice. It reminds me more of the XB12STT.

I went by the dealer a couple days ago to compare the 'CR' riding position. If anything, it lays you out more than the 'R', not less. That said, I really like the looks of the bike - looks like something flying out of Hades...

I would like to see one with the high bar conversion.

Jack:
That was my impression of the CR versus the r also.

Hey guys, The clubman bars work for your speed cornering to get your torso over the front and works great. I have demoed the bikes back to back and the R has the comfort edge at higher speeds. I had our service dept. install the high bar kit and it feels like Tri spd triple & Tuono. Great for all types of riding & gives you more leverage for countersteering & pulling wheelies. Estimated cost $400.
Enjoy........
