? I bet most of the people who you refer to have never seen a 1125r in person. Have you?

Yes, at least six separate times. I'm being more polite than the salesperson that said it was too wide up front and looks top heavy.

I'm not crazy about the styling but don't hate it. Why are you so defensive,

if you like it thats all that counts. Future owners hang out here because this is the future of the bike we want to own. Some are waiting for the dual sport version, some a sport touring, some just the next face lift. Why do these opinions count for nothing? It's a barometer of future sales.

I agree Buellborn, the more honest input, the better for development in any product/market line.

I believe that non owner opinions are just as important as owners, from the standpoint that it offers a wider spectrum of information to learn by.

The simple fact that there is that interest base in place is enough reason to entertain it.

On a side note...I'm kinda partial to the "top heavy" look! In more ways than one! : ) mm

Fresnobuell, most motorcycle enthusiast I have talked to think that both 1125 versions are FUGLY,most motorcycle forums I read, the majority of the opinions are that the 1125's are FUGLY.Are you really worried about it?

I wasn't that big a fan of the looks of the r's when they first came out, but like many things I like, it has grown on me over time. Personally, I think the white/blue 09's are great looking bikes.

But me liking it almost seems to guarantee most people don't. I was at Biketoberfest last weekend with a couple of friends. After looking at tons of bikes, one of my buddies commented that he thought pretty much every bike I liked, look wise, was ugly. He didn't say it in a mean or argumentative way, he was just making an observation. I seem to be a contrarian when it comes to bike styling tastes.

People always wade past the jap bikes that ride behind me and tell me just how much they like the 1125R. That's just what happens to me.

I would like to upgrade to an 09 but the resale thing is a downer for used bikes.
