Seriously, I would really like to see the birth of a 1125r/cr or even XB. Just to see a short video on the whole assembly process. Sounds corny, but I take a lot of pride in the fact that Buell is American. Say what you will about parts and resourcing, and blah.... I would like to see it. Any thoughts?

There is a short video in the "owners" section of the buell website. It's choppy and has some corny music to it...but it does show the birthing process minus the stirrups.

"Made in the USA"

I wish I could go to the factory and visit. Just a bit to far away and my occupation requires me to take leave to go for long trips like that. I can put it on my list of things to do next riding season.

At my visit to East Troy in August, I was able to see all the departments and the assembly line. Really cool! I was surprised at how few station there were for assembly and how much was done at each one. Each station had a timer for each of the jobs the person had to do and it was very organized given how little room there was. Really nice people and a cool visit if you can make it.

This one is kind of interesting. WARNING it's a BMW

and this is one part of a Bimoto series this part on manufacturing.

I love watching this stuff. Sorry I could not find a Buell one.

Great BMW video.

Some processes VERY SIMILAR to Buell.

Some processes JUST THE OPPOSITE to Buell.

Part at 1:25 is where I laughed.

Not at BMW, it's a fine bike but at the process.

But I am a huge fan of human beings. I suspect Buell will make the human to robot change the same time NASA stops putting humans in the capsule.

There is no machine in the world that can compete with a human being.

Cool stuff. . . . I always am amazed watching this.

Geforce. . . if you ever get back in the MO area on leave and can get to East Troy for a day let me know!
