Is the triple clamp from a '09 cr? If so, where do you plan to put the key switch?

Jerseyguy -

It is from an 09CR and that (ignition sw. mounting) is the "X" factor. So, until I get the triple clamp I don't have an answer to that question. A bracket will have to be constructed and it will have to not look like it is "cobbled". Luckily, I have an engineering background that will assist me in designing something that will look good. (Plus, it helps to have access to CNC equipment!)

But, please Buell, offer controls as an accessory item to raise the stock 1125R grips up 1-2"!!!

ThurstonBuell -

Not yet!!, they keep me chained to my desk at the dealership!!! (With good reason...)

Latest update...

I just received the CR accessory bars, they are amazingly light!!! When I picked up the box, it felt empty. The bars have a larger diameter where they are clamped and then are smaller on the ends.

Looking at the R's upper triple clamp, it appears the ignition switch is not fastened to it, but only a hole where it passes through. The triple clamp is not in yet, so more later.....

We have the CR accessory bars bolted on and what a Great Riding Position!!! That is the good news. We have issues with the ignition switch, fork lock and a few other things. We are still working on it as I type, so I will share more as time goes on. Us being a dealer, we wanted to use stock Buell parts, if we could and not go to the aftermarket...
