This came out of my fuel tank on the bike.

It reminds me of the glue from a hot glue gun. I do get a fuel pressure code p0193, the low fuel light goes on and off all the time regardless of fuel level. The other thing that happens more often now is the fuel pump primes up every ten seconds after the bike is shut off. This goes on for 10 minutes while the ecm is still on.

Of course I was told the fuel pump prime thing is normal. It does not do it all the time and rarely did it the first 2 months I had the bike. I just wonder if this stuff that I found in the tank is part of the fuel pump or fuel level sensor.

I feel that it has a fuel pump problem, the fuel pressure fluctuates 8psi or more when the throttle is steady. When the pump shuts off the pressure drops very quickly like the check valve is leaking in the pump.
When checked at the dealer "no problem found" even though the code will come back.

Am I making something out of nothing? Is this normal compared to your bike?

I'm guessing that is a lee press on finger nail from the hooker that refused the one cent tip?

I'm just guessing here...

I'm wondering if it is a bubble of the sealant used in the frame/ tank? When I worked on the Harpoon the cast fuel tanks needed to be resin impregnated to be 100% leak proof.

I thought about the sealant thing but when you look down in the tank it just looks like cast aluminum with no sealant.

Maybe a sealant that goes on the fuel level sensor where the wires go in? My fuel has been very hot at times and could have turned it back to liquid and it ran out of the sensor?

I know you've had some issues there Chev, this could be a huge factor. I'd say tear down the entire fuel system to look for more of whatever that is.

That looks like the remnants of a pretty serious lesion. You gotta be careful whose hose you put in your tank.
