Was reading in the current issue of Super Street Bike mag, and noticed a small blurt about Harley buying 100% stock MV Agusta. The article stated that Harley wanted a footprint in Europe but doesn't plan to develop any new superbikes. Sounds interesting, I wonder if we will see MV at the local Harley shop in the future?

I'd be more interested in seeing Buells in the MV dealerships (and OUT of the chrome emporiums).

I haven't seen any MVs yet, but I've noticed that the HD dealerships in Missoula and Kalispell, MT have Ducati sections (both are owned by Montana Harley). I understand from others that lots of HD dealers are including Duc "boutiques" in their floorplans.

IIRC, the Kalispell location had no Buells, though I think there were a few at the Missoula shop.

This is the second time around for H-D owning MV. They owned MV for a few years back in the mid 70's... hopefully this time it will prove very lucrative for both companies. Last I heard, MV was developing a 675cc triple- sounds just "different" enough to end up in a Buell. Triumph certainly has had great success with their's, and BMW is supposedly working on one too.

A Tamburini designed, 675cc triple powered Buell is something I could get very excited about!

You guys might want to read Wikipedia on MV Agusta. It has a very long past going back to 1923. MV Agusta was bought in 1991 by Cagiva. In 1978 HD sold Aermacchi to Cagiva which apparently quit producing Aermacchi in 1980. Cagiva also owned Husqavarna at one time. It was Cagiva that sold MV to HD. (Of course all of this is subject to my interpretation of what Wiki says, please don't flame me if I made a mistake).

Whatever, it could be good times for us if HD does bring MV here.
