"You need to hit the twisties more..."

I stopped by Old Glory HD to get the reflash done, and their Buell tech came out and talked to me afterwards, but the first thing he told me was that I need to hit the twisties more. This, judging by how worn the middle portion of my rear tire is.

I assured him that I do every chance I get, but I only ride on the weekends, and I'm new to the area as far as biking goes, so I don't know what I have available.

Also, I bought the bike in South Dakota in June and make the 1500 mile trek here to D.C. I told him that that's where most of that flat spot came from. Half of my miles are from the interstate.

So yeah, I just wanted to share my be-littling experience, haha.

Sounds like a mechanic you might want to keep.

Be happy he was not telling you to add chrome or tassels!!

I was at Old Glory yesterday for the Hogs and Heroes Poker run. Only Buell in the crowd.

Didn't win the poker run or the 50/50 raffle but a great ride. Harley crowd actually found a couple twisties to ride on.

Where ya livin' now Eagle1? I'm in Herndon, VA. Which reflash did you get?

I'm living in D.C. on the George Washington campus. I got the latest reflash (released on Sept. 16)

Yeah, I saw flyers for the Poker Run when I was in there but didn't feel like going I guess.

Do you know of any nice roads down in your neck of the woods? I'm actually keeping my bike in Falls Church right now, so it's not too far from you.

There are a number of roads around Leesburg, Frederick and really a bunch all over as long as you're not on an interstate. There's also skyline drive at Front Royal. Skyline is nothing but twisties. I haven't been able to go there yet but heard it was awesome.
