I skipped back a bit and saw you talk about it, I guess I missed where you actually did it.

Oke,

After 600 miles, I took the 1125R on the dyno again.

I remapped the complete ECM, and It really needed more fuel after the 600 Miles.

Because i mapped the 1125R a little rich the first time (I am glad i did that) I still needed to add fuell.

The most at 3000 RPM. And from 6000 until 10000 RPM.

The engine is running in now and needs more fuell. The next dyno will be with the Saron Exhaust. I can't wait..

Here is a graph: 141 HP on the RW and 113 NM of Torque

Easy,
Your Dynosheet looks very nice! Could you add the A/F ratio to that?
Are you running with 02 sensors or are they removed/disconnected?

Hello XB9 Here it is:

1125R AFR

The AFR of the front cylinder is as rich as the rear. This was my last graph before I changed the AFR and took the bike off the dyno and start riding yesterday.

Man it feels strong I took here to 255 KM P/H yesterday with some throttle left.

I still have to work on the timing map. I want to do that after I placed the exhaust.

I run stock exhaust wit catalytic converter ans stock airfilter.

Lamda disconnected, And removed the active air intake system

The bike runs smoother then before at the 3000 RPM range. It's possible now to take her to the highway and run 3000 RPM in 6th gear and WOT. Without andy problems.

Actually no bad feelings at all anymore at low RPM. I am sure it's a fuel problem that took care of this jurky feeling before.

Here is my TPS AF range with works fine with the stock airfilter and exhaust

1000-3000 RPM 13-13.5 AF
3000-5000 RPM 13 AF
6000-7700 RPM 12.5 AF
7700 11000 RPM 12 AF

Here is a graph, where you actually can see what happends when you add fuell. Look at the power/torq graph of the blue line.

Notice that this is a Low TPS range and the art of doing this is holding your throttle really with both hands at the same RPM range all the way (-;. So no mistake in more TPS in the graph.

The only difference is Fuell. Look at the increase at 2500-3000 RPM and 7700 RPM.

This is ROTAX power...

af power fuel

and here the AFR. I wish i could mke them bigger the 71 kb..

This is some low RPM range where the difference for a graph to let yoy look at was nice.

The first time i mapped the bike it was below 14 AF untill 3000 RPM. Somehow I am still working on a calculation to see how rich a bike should be mapped to give enough fuell to drive save with a running in the engine say for 5000 Km..

afr

Thanks easyrider, It definitely likes more fuel! Nice work, nice power!
Sorry, just a couple more questions.
Did you disable the closed loop function through the race tuner software, or just remove the O2 sensors?
Are the O2 sensors removed and are you monitoring the A/F at the stock lambda bung location?

WOW!

Where do I sign up? (I wish)

I`m guessing that us "regular guys" with no way to buy a programable ecm will just have to wait for a miracle. Or is the new flash that we are all waiting on going to offer similar performance?

The flash should help some but, we ain't gonna see those results. If we can just get the fueling and heat issues improved it would be worth every $0.01.

XB9:

The only thing i did is disconnect the O2 sensors.

I drilled 2 seperate holes in the headers look here: http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/artikelen.asp

It's not the race tuner software it's the DFI software from Buell you get with the reprogramable ECM.

I wish I could help you guys.. If only (i)we could find a way too make a cheap reprogramable ECM

Easy, you might gain a little more if you pull the stock 02's and get some bung plugs. The O2 sensor has to be somewhat restrictive. Just a thought. Be interesting to do a before and after with that being the only change.

XB9,

it's the next step... I just have to plug the in and before I place the first race exhaust I take her on the dyno Again with the bung plugs....

I just got a call back from Technoresearch today. They are working on a product similar to Ecm Spy. They said it will be ready for sales in the near future but not ready yet. It is for the 1125R and sounds like it will do the same things the Buell race ecm will do. Their product is called the Direct Link Race Performance. I guess we will just have to hang tight and see.http://www.technoresearch.com/

Probably the same company that made the previous model Direct Link. It is a keyed dongle system which means once it is used on a bike it can only be used on that bike. It burns the VIN to the eprom on the Dongle. Just an FYI.

I hope someone will deliver them the information to make it more useful.

So not only a tool for fuel and spark, but also for vualt codes, and reading data, lamda on/off setting codes on and off etc..

At this time directlink is not a tool for home users. And most of the functions are not in.

Man oohh man, Am I disappointed.

Yesterday I received my Saron exhaust for the 1125R. I had a really good feeling about the developers.. They have there roots in the Rotax world...

After i mapped my original 1125R I just mounted the exhaust and mad a full pull..

I lost 3 HP and won 1 NM of torque.....

Then started playing with the fuel and waqs getting more and more disappointed..

Oke The I took the phone and called Saron to tell them about the results and I have some ideas for upgrading the product..

They left hoe already so I will do that next week.

The other thing is the sound... It's amazing hard. full, dark... bbrrrrr wane drive again..

I have to say that between 5000 and 8000 the bike pulls harder only I can't see it in the dyno....

Because I made the map for the stock exhaust and filter a little rich, the bike runs like a eagle...

Its 21:00 hours here, now I first getting a Cold beer, and tomorrow I post the dyno results and some pictures..

Here they are, you can see the increase in power in the mid range from the Saron.

The only thing I did is mounting the Saron exhaust and made the base run. After that I changed the A/F to see what hapends, No difference in Top HP and torque. Then I mapped the bike again. And i needed a lot more fuel on the bottom end then the stcok exhaust. When i was finished i start driving the bike. It feels much stronger on the bottom low RPM. The sound is very hard without DB killer.

The other curve is with a stock 1125R exhaust EU spec exhaust with Catalyc convertor and stock airfilter with a custom fuel map I made.

The exhaust comes with a db killer.

Which was only a pipe....

I mouted it and there was almost no change in noice. So I first welded 1 plate in it and then 2. It's a cross now and now I can drive the exhaust on the street. It sound like a ducati now.. Loud but no too loud.

Thanks Easy!

One would think that the Saron exhaust w/remapping would net a larger gain over a catalyst system?

Perhaps the remap on the stock system made the majority of the improvements and the stock exhaust is that good?

What is your opinion Easyrider? mm

I first need a US spec exhaust, for a 1125R to make a map for that version to see the improvement compared to the EU spec with cat. When you fin a cheap one, let me know please.. I think it's a good solution.

Until now you are right. I am waiting on the remus exhaust, they send me one the race version w/o cat for testing.

And In my spare hours, I am thinking about a good solution for a exhaust model too.
