EDIT: looking at the pics online, the Mirrors are actually the widest points on the bike.

No attempt to flame on my part. You may want to read my post again, then go have another sip. 
1124R, well that's because I feel Buell came up a little short on this new product. This view is supported by the recalls of the '08 models and the changes announced for the '09 models.
YES... it is good that Buell attempts to correct the engineering deficiencies in this product and the errors in the product documentation.

Gee, I feel honored. "P squared 1125r \cliparttestimonial". I state MY OPINION and get nominated for my own thread. I get it that there ARE owners with issues on THEIR bikes. I’m not saying my bike is “perfect”, just that I enjoy the heck out of it, it does what I expect it to do when I expect it to do it, and I haven’t had/experienced the same level of trouble/frustration as other owners. Any/all issues I’ve had have been minor in MY OPINION, since I haven’t had to leave my bike @ the dealer for extended stays, etc. Information on how to improve certain items has been supplied here on this board, e.g. ‘Noid elimination, and BMC has treated ME in a better manner than I’ve been treated by any other automobile OR motorcycle manufacturer.
I get that some folks don’t like the looks/design. I’m not in that group. It’s not the “prettiest” bike, yet it’s not the “ugliest” bike, again, in MY OPINION.
Has BMC had “issues” with the launch? Certainly. Not arguing that point. I do however argue the assumption that the product is “fatally flawed” based upon the input of non-owners. MY bike does exactly what I expect it to do when I expect it to do it.
If you don’t agree with/like MY OPINION, that’s fine. I’m not trying to “convert” anyone here. But to try to label me as something I’m not is nothing more to me than a blatant attempt to instigate an argument which adds no value to this topic, board, or community.
To hi-jack the purpose of this thread to interject an OPINION with an anticipated response over the product shows, to ME, an agenda that defines the instigator as selfish & self-centered.
Rant over, please return to the topic of this thread.
What other Bike company takes input from a board to directly update their online site? Great stuff in my opinion. |

I don't consider it a highjack as most humans will place judgment on surrounding/connecting circumstances.
A woman on how she is dressed or talks. A restaurant on cleanliness etc. If a menu was incorrect you would begin to question what is and what is not correct elsewhere. Thats normal.
If stories about something that happened 20 years ago is not a thread highjack than true facts about current events should not be considered a highjack either.
That is if end goal is total customer satisfaction. |

No gaskets blowing here. Just took a 'lil spin during lunch on my 1125R. The $h!teating grin is still on my face.
The POINT of this thread was to call out any spec mistakes noted on buell.com for the CR. Let's try to get it back to that.
If you wanna try to blow my gaskets, let's go elsewhere. LMK. I'll even start a "P squared 1125r \cliparttestimonial" thread just to make you feel better. |
