I recently acquired a 1125, and I have about 1K miles. The purpose of this thread is for the people considering an 1125 but are hesitating due to the negative press.
Of all the issues reported: internet and magazines, I have experienced none of them except for the surging around 3,500 rpm - and that has been minimal.
My motorcycle experience includes ownership of the following makes; (2) Ducati's, (3) Kawasaki's, (1) Yamaha, (2) Suzuki's, all sport bikes, (4) Harley's... So, I have a foundation to compare the 1125 to.
My only complaint is I can't remove the smile from my face.

Awesome. It's nice to hear from the permagrin crowd, it shows that there really *is* a counterpoint to the usually more-vocal folks who are less than happy for one reason or another.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us, and have your dealer load the latest ECM flash into your bike if they haven't already. It should take care of the 3500rpm stumble : )

Ride and smile!

Ditto Mario...I had some early on electrical concerns that have since dissipated. Everything else has been great...especially since there is a solution to the 3rd gear stumble. I am just trying to figure out the best method to work around the solenoid.

Mario:

Don't worry the Sh_t-Eating-Grin doesn't wear off, just sometimes the SEG grows to one of those villianous laughs, and that usually happens just before the red/ blue lights come on and, Batman pulls you over .
