The site says:
For winner’s name, city & state, mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to be postmarked by 3/1/08 and received by 3/8/07

What a gyp. I don't think there ever was a Pirelli Buell. I've only ever seen illustrations, and never a real photograph. Getting the winner's name requires a time machine?

I'm calling Boolsheet on this 'un.

Yeah... I was suspicious from the start.

The local Pirelli guy said that he wasn't aware of a direct tie-in to Pirelli.

Wonder if Buell themselves got scammed.

I would think that if it were legit, they'd be having announcements, photographs, PUBLICITY... nothing.

I'm cynical by nature and was surprised that it wasn't posted since there would have been good publicity to be gained by having the handshake and exchange of keys on film.

Not disappointed that I didn't win, just kinda surprised that the contest vanished into thin air.

In 20 years I've yet to see one of these contests that didn't initiate more problems than goodwill.

I'd avoid them like the plague and replace them with a more effective giveaway scheme twice a year.

They seem like they should work and in fact are quite the opposite so the endings are typically down played.

It's resulted, over the years, in at least two pretty good, if ugly, Buell stories.
