My dealer tells me that there is no 620 mile service on records that they have, only a 1000 mile service. But what gets me is why would the "cluster" say there was a 620 service if there wasn't one?

Also whats involved in the 620 service? I've got 600 miles on her already and don't want to have to spend 200-300$(for 2 services).

Also they told me just to wait for the 1000 mile service. Will this have any negative effects if i do wait to have the 1000 done?

Plz help, thanx,
Jake

Information regarding the maintenance intervals and what each should include, I found at the following link:

https://www.buell.com/om/99480-08Y_en/file-13.asp# hdtopic000090

If that link doesn't work, its in the manual under Regular Service Intervals.

Hope that helps

Service intervals are in kilometers, like the above post. First is at 1000km, then every 10,000km afterward.

We can get you the service manual if you're interested

Just change the oil and keep riding...be careful the first change is usually has you scrambling for rags and brake cleaner to clean your garage floor. There is actually a really good thread here somewhere that contains tips to make the job MUCH cleaner.

First oil change-BaggerMike has great tips on the first service posted in this forum. If you google "Buell 1125R oil change" it will take you to this forum and the exact thread. Did mine this past weekend and prepped for a mess. Wasn't too bad if you prepared for the worst. The filter was a knuckle scraper but it was all good.
